Using the Brain

Search

The Brain panel's search bar works like the rest of Quack's search surfaces: type a query, get ranked results with the matching terms highlighted. Click a result to open the underlying markdown file directly.

Dashboard

A coverage view shows how much of your project's knowledge is actually indexed, plus a running tally of what Pinky has saved you — retrieval counts, token and time savings, breakdowns by entry type, and a "most retrieved" list so you can see which entries are earning their keep.

Pre-turn injection

Before an agent starts a turn, Quack can automatically pull in relevant Brain entries so the agent doesn't have to search for them itself. Gate settings control when this kicks in — useful if you want it more or less aggressive depending on the project.
